The Not Bucket list Journey – What is a ‘Not Bucket List’? and why am I doing it?

Bucket lists are known as a list of things you want to do before you kick the bucket. Sounds a bit morbid right? So instead let’s look at it as a list of things to achieve in life. Goals that I would like to experience accomplishing no matter how tough along with making memories along the way.

For quite some time now because of my physical and mental health, my memory has been lets say a bit of a sieve. I often find it hard to recall achievements and memories I have made. It got me thinking how find a way of remembering my experiences? I mean I’ve been making videos on YouTube since 2009, so I thought why not save them online in time on YouTube and other social media platforms as well as physical reminders?

The aim of the ‘Not Bucket List Journey’ is to document my experiences and memories as I work on improving my physical, emotional and mental health. By making and uploading videos of the journey, it allows me to look back and reflect on what I have achieved and how far I have come.

The Not Bucket List started on January 1st 2021. With the first time capsule being opened and a note from day 1 being placed inside. Each goal I achieve I add keepsakes inside and notes to my future self when the times feel right. I want to look back when I’m ready in the future at my journey and see what experiences and memories I have created.

Below is my ‘Not Bucket List’ and along the way I will be crossing through goals I have achieved as well as adding more from any inspirations as time goes by. Who knows where we may end up with this journey?
